Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS Provider)
Course Description: The American Heart Association PALS Provider course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This is a 12-hour course, typically done in one long day.
Who Should Enroll: This course is for initial PALS certification or those who have let their PALS certification expire. It is the standard for personnel providing emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care.
Pre-Course Work: Students must complete all sections of the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment and Video Prework before attending the class. Instructions are included in the confirmation email on how to access this free online module.
Add-On: You may add the BLS Provider course for an additional fee. If you have any questions, please contact the 3CPR office.
Outcomes: Within 72 hours of successful completion of the class, you will receive PALS certification, issued by the American Heart Association, that is valid for two years.
Important Note: A valid email address is required to register for this course and access the online modules. The email address entered during the registration process must belong to the student. When registering multiple students, each student should use a separate email address to receive access to the online module.
